Our role is to verify readiness and integrity upfront — while all medical clearance and treatment decisions remain with licensed clinics and medical professionals.
Screening process is built with the intention to reduce the risk for intended parents. We strive to avoid the chance of falling in love with a profile that can't be medically cleared, discovering background concerns late in the process, misalignment around readiness, stability, or support and any delays caused by preventable unknowns.
Initial Application & Readiness Review
Each candidate completes a detailed intake covering pregnancy history, lifestyle, support system, motivations, availability, and expectations. We screen for baseline eligibility and the emotional maturity required for a respectful, steady match.
Identity & Residency Verification
Before any profile is visible, we confirm identity through government ID verification and additional validation measures (as required). This ensures every profile represents a real, accountable person.
Background Screening
Candidates complete comprehensive background checks to support safety and confidence for all parties. Any findings that conflict with platform standards are reviewed and may result in disqualification.
Pregnancy History & Medical Record Review
We collect an ASRM-aligned medical history and review pregnancy/birth outcomes, core health history, and relevant medical records such as OB-GYN clearance when available. This step is designed to identify red flags early and confirm clinical readiness signals.
Lifestyle & Accountability Screening
We review lifestyle factors that impact pregnancy and match compatibility (such as nicotine use, substance history, medication disclosures, wellness preferences, and day-to-day realities). The goal is transparency — not perfection — so alignment is honest from the start.
Home Environment Check
A stable environment matters—not for perfection, but for safety, support, and steadiness. A respectful home check completed in-person when feasible, or virtually when distance requires. General confirmation of a safe, stable living environment. A brief readiness conversation around support systems, lifestyle, and expectations. This is not a judgment of someone's home. It's a simple safeguard to confirm the surrogate is supported and prepared.
Interview & Values Alignment
A founder-led interview (virtual or in-person when possible) confirms communication style, boundaries, expectations, and support system readiness. This is where we ensure the surrogate's voice is clear, consistent, and confident.
Profile Composition & Verification
Profiles are built with clarity and intention, reflecting what truly matters: communication preferences, openness expectations, lifestyle alignment, and personal boundaries. Key screening milestones are reflected on the profile so intended parents can review with confidence.
Ongoing Updates & Integrity
Surrogates are expected to update any material changes (health, availability, relocation, major life events). Our standards are designed to remain accurate — not just at intake, but throughout the journey.
What Intended Parents See on a Verified Profile
